Garbage pick-up is Monday and Thursday and recycling is on Friday.
- All garbage is to be placed in covered containers, recycling in appropriate bins.
- Trash cans should be put out no earlier than 6 PM the evening preceding pick-up. All containers must be returned inside on the day of pick-up.
Each garbage container must be covered to keep animals out.
Hazardous materials will not be picked up by our trash hauler. However, Rockland County does collect Household Hazardous waste at a facility located adjacent to the Fire Training Center in Pomona: http://www.rocklandrecycles.com/page/household-hazardous-waste-24.html

The town of Clarkstown does NOT pick up garbage in the Hamlets.
There will be no garbage pickup on the following holidays: NEW YEAR’S DAY; MEMORIAL DAY; INDEPENDENCE DAY; LABOR DAY*;
THANKSGIVING DAY*; and CHRISTMAS DAY*.
Whenever a holiday falls on a regular pick-up day, Marangi will simply come the next day.

Recycling Pickup
The Town of Clarkstown picks up recycling on Friday each week.
Use 2 bins:
• 1 for glass, cans, plastic, food containers
• 1 for newspaper, junk mail, papers
Cardboard will be picked up as long as it is no larger than 3′x3′ square, tied (please use cotton
twine) and must be flattened. No plastic bags!
There will be no recycling collection on the following holidays:
NEW YEAR’S DAY; MEMORIAL DAY; INDEPENDENCE DAY; LABOR DAY;
THANKSGIVING DAY; and CHRISTMAS DAY.
Whenever a holiday falls on a regular pick up day, twice the normal quantity will be collected on
the next regularly scheduled pickup day.
